The EST Youngblood Brunch: BRUNCH Unto Others as You Would Have Them BRUNCH Unto You
Brunch Unto Others.jpg

Teaming up with castmates Kristen Harlow, Michael Cullen, Sean McIntyre, and David Jackson in Andrew Massey's Gwen is Going Out Tonight, directed by Colette Roberts.  Delighted to be working with Andrew and Colette again on a brunch play.  Official details:

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. It can be as simple a gesture as a generous pour of syrup for a friend to let them know how much they mean to you, or a hearty slice of bacon in a time of need.  Come celebrate kindness with five brand new plays by the writers of Youngblood, along with pancakes, bacon, and (young)bloody marys.

League of Professional Theatre Women launches new advocacy initiative at Theatre Women Awards
TWA.jpg

This last Friday, at the 2018 Theatre Women Awards, the League of Professional Theatre Women launched the advocacy initiative #OneMoreConversation, an action toward gender parity that is easy to understand – and to do.

#OneMoreConversation is a call to directors, artistic directors, producers, boards, and other decision-makers to have just one more conversation with a woman theatre artist or professional before making a hiring decision.  It’s repeatable vocabulary that gives theatre leaders a straightforward, achievable tool for expanding their pool of collaborators and diversifying their creative teams.

Why just one more conversation? It’s a reasonable request, not onerous or pressured: simply a commitment to put a woman in the mix. If that one conversation doesn’t result in a job, that decision maker’s network will still have grown to include one more woman theatre artist or professional. They might recommend her to others or collaborate with her in the future! Since relationships are everything in our field, #OneMoreConversation has the potential for far-reaching, long-term impact.

Use #OneMoreConversation + @LPTWomen to spread the word to all your colleagues and all corners of our industry - let’s get everybody talking!  Use #OneMoreConversation and tag @LPTWomen when discussing gender parity on social media.
